Rixi Edoardo

Edoardo Rixi was born in Genoa on 8 June 1974. After completing his classical studies, he graduated in economics and business from the University of Genoa in 2000. He began his professional career in the fashion industry and collaborated with the University of Genoa and the Regional Council of Lombardy.
His political career began in 2002 when he was elected municipal councillor of Genoa for the Lega Nord, where he served as group leader. In 2010, he was elected regional councillor of Liguria, resigning as a member of the 16th legislature, a role he had assumed in February of the same year to replace a colleague. From 2014 to 2016, he served as deputy federal secretary of the Lega Nord. In 2015, he was re-elected regional councillor and appointed Councillor for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship of the Liguria Region.
In 2018, Rixi was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for the 18th legislature, resigning as regional councillor. From 13 June 2018 to 30 May 2019, he served as Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport in the Conte I government.
In 2022, Rixi was re-elected as a deputy for the 19th legislature. Since 2 November 2022, he has once again been Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport in the Meloni government, working alongside Minister Matteo Salvini. In September 2023, he was confirmed as secretary of the Lega in Liguria by acclamation.
