Carlo Puca

Carlo Puca, who has served as Councillor for the City’s Image and Active Participation for the City of Naples since last April, was born in 1970 in Naples.

A journalist – having worked for Panorama since 2008, where he was head of the Rome bureau – and a writer, he is the author of books, documentary films, RAI programmes and plays; he is a regular commentator on various talk shows and has written on-the-road investigative reports that have been translated worldwide.

In 2016, he won the Cristiana Matano International Journalism Prize for his reportage The Curse of Living in Lampedusa. He is the author of I Have a Family: The Italy of Relatives (2011) and The South Must Die: Perpetrators, Instigators and Accomplices of an (Almost) Perfect Crime (2016). For Raiuno, he was a correspondent on Petrolio (2014), presenter of Buono Brutto Cattivo (2015) and author of Cose nostre (2016). He regularly presents Prima pagina on Radio 3.
