Procaccini Nicola

Nicola Procaccini Member of the European Parliament for the European Conservatives and Reformists Group – Fratelli d’Italia and journalist. He was born in Rome in 1976 to Massimo and Maria.
At the age of 21, he was elected for the first time as a municipal councillor in Terracina, his hometown, where he served as deputy mayor from 2011 to 2019.
At the age of 25, he began his first national experience in the Press Office of the Chamber of Deputies and from 2008 to 2011 he was chosen as spokesperson by the then Minister for Youth, Giorgia Meloni. During those years, he was also a foreign policy columnist and deputy editor-in-chief at various newspapers.
At the age of 43, he was elected MEP with 45,331 votes to represent the Central Italy constituency for Fratelli d’Italia in Europe.
In the last legislature, he was a member of the ENVI Committee – Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and a substitute member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development – AGRI. For the first half of his term, he served as coordinator of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group in the LIBE Committee – Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs. He is also chairman of the European Delegation for Relations with South Asian Countries.
Since May 2020, he has been responsible for energy and the environment for Fratelli d’Italia, two issues that, in addition to being extremely topical, are dear to conservatives in Italy and around the world.
In February 2023, he was appointed co-chair of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group. He was re-elected in the June 2024 elections.
