Cristiana Poggio

Cristiana Poggio, born in Turin on 8 May 1962, is Vice-President of the Fondazione Piazza dei Mestieri. She graduated in Humanities and has dedicated her career to youth education, first as a teacher and then founding Immaginazione e Lavoro in 1992, where she still serves as President. She focuses on school-to-work programs, welfare, and innovative educational systems, believing that solid and inclusive education is essential for the common good.
The Fondazione Piazza dei Mestieri has guided hundreds of thousands of young people through educational and professional pathways, with over 14,000 participants in the past year alone across Turin, Milan, and Catania, including workshops, professional courses, and work integration activities.
In 2024, she was listed by Forbes Italia among the Top 100 Successful Italian Women for her contribution to the country’s growth through the educational and professional model of the Foundation. In 2025, she received the honor of Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic from President Sergio Mattarella for her social and cultural commitment.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fondazione per la Scuola della Compagnia di San Paolo and serves on the boards of Fondazione con il Sud, ITS ICT Piemonte, and Confcooperative Piemonte.
