Piraccini Bruno

Bruno Piraccini is President of Orogel and was among the founders, in 1967, of the first cooperatives that later led to the establishment of the Consorzio Fruttadoro di Romagna in 1969. In the early years, he contributed to the consolidation and development of the cooperatives within the Fruttadoro Group, promoting expansion into new agri-food sectors, particularly frozen food production.
Between 1972 and 1974, he studied and implemented development strategies to expand production activities. In 1975, the foundation stone was laid for the new freezing plant, which became operational in 1976. Thanks to the steady growth of the Consorzio Fruttadoro, Orogel was established in 1978 as a company dedicated to the production, sales, and distribution of frozen products manufactured at the Cesena facility, where Piraccini was appointed Chief Executive Officer.
Today, Piraccini leads Orogel as President, heading a group that in 2024 recorded revenues of approximately €383 million and has planned €370 million in investments for the 2023–2028 period, aimed at expanding production plants and logistics infrastructure. Under his leadership, the company markets around 319,000 tons of products, employs over 2,500 people, operates three production plants, and counts 1,661 member producers.
The company has placed strong emphasis on corporate and social welfare, investing in employee support programs through the Fondazione F.Or. Fruttadoro Orogel, with initiatives such as social housing, after-school programs for employees’ children, and health screening services.
Piraccini also served as President of MacFrut and was a speaker at the Festival Agrofutura in 2025, where he discussed the transformation of the agri-food sector, sustainability, and climate change challenges.
