Piccolotti Elisabetta

Elisabetta Piccolotti (Camerino, February 10, 1982) is an Italian politician, currently a member of parliament for Sinistra Italiana in the Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra group. Raised in Foligno, she earned a degree in Communication in the Society of Globalization from the University of Roma Tre and works as a communication consultant.

She began her political involvement at a young age by joining Rifondazione Comunista. From September 2006 to early 2009, she served as national spokesperson for the Young Communists. She later joined Nichi Vendola’s Movimento per la Sinistra, which merged into Sinistra Ecologia Libertà (SEL), where she was Head of Communication in the national coordination.

At the local level, she served as Councilor for Culture in the Municipality of Foligno from July 2009 to July 2013. In 2014, running for mayor of Foligno, she was elected as a minority municipal councilor, a role she held until 2019.

In 2017, she participated in the founding of Sinistra Italiana (SI). She served as Coordinator of Sinistra Italiana from February 2, 2021, to November 26, 2023.

In the 2022 parliamentary elections, she was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra (Puglia constituency), with her mandate beginning on October 13, 2022. In the XIX legislature, she is a member of the 7th Committee on Culture, Science and Education, the Parliamentary Anti-Mafia Commission, and the Supervisory Committee on Documentation Activities. She has been part of the Alleanza Verdi e Sinistra parliamentary group since October 27, 2022.

In her private life, Elisabetta Piccolotti lives in Foligno with her husband Nicola Fratoianni and their son Adriano.
