Piccinelli Stefania

Stefania Piccinelli is the Director of International Programs at WeWorld, where since 2018 she has led strategies and international cooperation operations in over 20 countries. With more than 25 years of experience in humanitarian action and development, she has held increasingly senior roles: from Country Director in the field to Director of European Programs and Coordinator of the Department of Global Citizenship Education and Volunteering at the headquarters.

From 2007 to 2018, she also directed the Terra di Tutti Film Festival, an important international event dedicated to human rights and social communication, which became a cultural reference point in Italy.

Stefania holds a degree in Political Science with a specialization in Development Sociology from the University of Bologna, graduating with honors. She has worked on the frontlines of humanitarian emergencies in countries such as Burundi and post-tsunami Indonesia, and deepened her expertise in International Humanitarian Law through specialized courses at ISPI.

An expert in international cooperation, emergency response, global education, and advocacy, Stefania adopts a strategic vision and participatory approach to promote social justice, gender equality, and human rights worldwide.
