Guido Piccarolo is the CEO and Co-Founder of Los Angeles Habilitation House, a nonprofit social enterprise.
The mission of LAHH is to create and maintain job opportunities for individuals with mental and physical disabilities. Today, Los Angeles Habilitation House has 28 employees. LAHH provides services in the cleaning industry and administrative field, employing individuals with disabilities and Veterans with disabilities in Los Angeles and San Diego. An accomplishment over the last three years is that twenty-one janitors with disabilities graduated with certifications in custodial specialties.
Guido Piccarolo earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Italy. In 1999 he accepted the position of Senior Accountant with E-Toys, in Santa Monica, California, where he gained extensive public accounting experience and was promoted to Senior Accounting Manager.
Guido’s career took a ten-fold leap in 2002, jumping at the chance to apply his finance and accounting skills for The Walt Disney Company. Guido’s work was instrumental in providing DisneyToon Studios with financial analysis and management reporting capabilities critical to the success of the production of direct-to-TV animated movies. During these years he earned his MBA in Finance and International Business from the University of La Verne, California.
Guido’s career includes leadership roles at THQ, where he was recruited as Finance Manager to handle strategic solution analysis, further business goals, and focus on cost accounting improvements.
Guido resides in Los Angeles, California and became an U.S citizen on April 21st of this year, holding now a dual passport with Italy. Guido is a Certified Trainer for (OS1) and is the Vice President of the Advisory Committee of the Cleaning Industry Trainers Guild. He sits on the Villages at Cabrillo Collaborative at the Century Villages at Cabrillo, a 26-acre supportive housing community where the LAHH office is located. Guido is also a Community Partner with Loyola Marymount University.
