Tiziano Onesti

Tiziano Onesti is a Full Professor of Business Economics at Roma Tre University and one of Italy’s leading experts in the fields of business valuation, corporate governance and corporate crisis management. He holds a degree in Economics from “La Sapienza” University of Rome and is a chartered accountant and statutory auditor, with extensive academic, institutional and managerial experience.

Throughout his career, he has held senior positions in major public and private organisations, including as Chairman of Trenitalia S.p.A., Aeroporti di Puglia S.p.A., Italtel S.p.A. and, since 2023, the Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital. He has also held numerous positions as chairman of boards of statutory auditors, a member of supervisory bodies and an independent director in major industrial and financial groups, including ENI, Ferrovie dello Stato, Ford Italia and Gruppo Editoriale L’Espresso.

Alongside his professional and institutional activities, he has been heavily involved in teaching, lecturing at numerous Italian universities. He is the author of publications on business economics, financial reporting, corporate governance and corporate restructuring, and is a member of scientific committees and national and international academic associations.
