Roberto Moncalvo

Born in 1980, the sixth president of Coldiretti holds a degree in Automotive Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin.

He is the owner of the “SettimoMiglio” farm. The farm specialises in the certified organic production of fruit, vegetables and cereals. In addition, the farm produces its own preserves, baked goods and ready-to-eat delicatessen products. It runs an educational farm and is involved in social farming initiatives.
In 2011, he promoted the establishment of an agricultural cooperative, “Agricoltori Consapevoli”, through which he brings together local farms engaged in social farming initiatives, with the aim of direct sales and home delivery to the end consumer. In February 2013, the cooperative contributed, as a founding member, to the creation of the UeCoop central organisation.

Despite his young age, Roberto Moncalvo has been involved with Coldiretti for a full 21 years, having joined the Youth Movement in 1996; from 2003 to 2007, he served as provincial delegate for Coldiretti Youth in Turin; from 2005 to 2011, he was a member of the National Executive of Giovani Impresa; from 2007 to 2011, he was vice-president of Coldiretti Turin; from 2009 to 2011, he was regional delegate for Coldiretti Youth in Piedmont.
From 2011 to 2014, he was president of Coldiretti Turin. From 2012 to 2014, he was president of Coldiretti Piedmont. Since January 2013, he has been a member of the executive committee of the Coldiretti National Confederation. He was unanimously elected president of Coldiretti at the general meeting on 15 November 2013.

From 2013 to 2016, he served as president of the Campagna Amica Foundation; since 2014, he has been president of the Observatory on Crime in Agriculture and the Agri-Food System Foundation; and since 2015, he has been vice-president of COPA (Committee of Professional Agricultural Organisations of the European Union).

Since 2017, he has been a member of the board of directors of the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo.
