Minasi Nicola

Born in Rome on October 26, 1973, he earned a degree in Political Science from LUISS University in Rome in 1996, followed by a Master’s in Development Studies from the London School of Economics in 1999, both with top honors.
He joined the diplomatic service at the end of 1999 and has served in the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, and at Italy’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels. From 2017 to 2021, he was Italy’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Since October 2021, he has been Head of the Crisis Unit at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In recent years, he has coordinated evacuations from Ukraine (2022), Sudan and Niger (2023), and from Israel, Lebanon, and Iran during the conflicts following October 7, 2023.
