Martines Francesca

Francesca Martines is currently an associate professor of European Union law and international law in the Department of Law at the University of Pisa.

After graduating in 1987 with top marks in political science from the Cesare Alfieri Faculty of the University of Florence, she obtained a PhD in 1993 from the European University Institute in Fiesole. She was a researcher at the University of Florence and taught at the Faculty of Economics in Pisa. She has participated in numerous research projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research.

She is the author of three monographs and various publications, including some in English, on topics relating to international law and European Union law. Her most recent research focuses on the relationship between domestic law and international law, and the decision-making procedures of the European Union.
