Alejandro Marius

Alejandro Marius (Uruguay, 1971) is an engineer and social entrepreneur. Having moved to Venezuela in 1978, following a long career in management within the information technology sector, he founded  Trabajo y Persona in 2009, a non-profit civil association of which he is president.

The organisation promotes the value of work and human dignity through vocational training programmes, support for entrepreneurship and employment placement, aimed in particular at young people, women and those in vulnerable circumstances. In recent years, it has also developed programmes dedicated to the care of the elderly and the training of carers.

Marius has developed a comprehensive support model, the 360 Methodology, which integrates professional, personal and entrepreneurial skills. In 2015, he was recognised by the World Economic Forum as Social Entrepreneur of the Year.

Through Trabajo y Persona, he continues to work in Venezuela with the aim of empowering people to take the lead in their work, their communities and the common good.
