Marchi Andrea

Andrea Marchi has been an independent architect since 2014. He graduated with honors from the University of Florence and earned a Master’s in Risk and Disaster Management.
Since 2005, he has been a volunteer with the Italian Red Cross, and since 2020, he has served as Regional Technical Delegate for the Emergency Operations and Relief Area in CRI Tuscany.
He has participated in numerous national missions, including: Costa Concordia, the 2016 Amatrice earthquake, floods in Emilia-Romagna (2023) and Tuscany (2023 and 2025), and in coordinating migrant landings at safe ports in Tuscany. He has also taken part in international missions, such as the medical evacuation of civilians from Palestine.
Within the Red Cross, he is a National Instructor for Civil Protection and an Instructor in International Humanitarian Law, specializing in the protection of Cultural Heritage. He coordinated the CRI Cultural Heritage team during its first international deployment in the FloodNorthALB exercise in Shkodër, Albania.
On June 2, 2025, he was awarded the honor of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for his work supporting survivors of international migration.
