Born in Napoli in 1979. Degree in Economics of Public Administration and International Institutions in Ferrara University (2001), Master in Economics in the University of Warwick (UK, 2002), PhD in Political Economics in Siena University (2007), winner of the Fulbright Scholarship in New York (2005). Researcher on a permanent basis in the Economic Science Department of Bologna University, Associate Professor and Full Professor. He published several papers in international magazines, particularly on the topic of fiscal policy transmission. He has been Member of the City Council of Ferrara (2004-2009), Member of the Board of Directors of Ferrara Servizi Holding (2009-2010), Councilor for Finance (2010-2014). Financial Advisor of the Prime Minister (2014-2018); in this position he followed all the main deliberations of Financial Policy of the Renzi and Gentiloni Government; President of the Technical Commission for the Standard Needs of MEF (2016-2018). On March 4th 2018 he has been elected in the Chamber of Deputies for the Democratic Party. He is Group Chairman of the Budget Commission.
