Manfredi Francesco

Francesco Manfredi, President of INDIRE and of the National ITS Academy Committee, is Full Professor of Business Administration, Pro-Rector for Postgraduate Education, and Dean of the School of Management at LUM University. He is a member of the Academic Board of the International PhD Program in “Economics and Management of Innovation and Sustainability” and Scientific Director of several second-level university master’s programs, including “Change Management & Social Innovation,” “Management & E-Governance of Public Administration,” “Smart City, Urban Design and Social Innovation,” and the “Participation and Community Regeneration” laboratory.

His research focuses on public management, local governance, and innovation in public policy. He has served as the scientific coordinator for several research projects involving national and international scholars, including the recent projects “Casa Italia Plan: Guidelines and Strategic Actions for Sustainable Living,” “Community Regeneration Masterplan: Strategies, Guidelines, and Best Practices for Smart Regeneration and the Production of Social Innovation in Sustainable and Resilient Communities,” and “Strategies, Guidelines, and Practices for the Smart Regeneration of Contemporary Urban Settlements and Public and Private Spaces.”

He is the author of numerous international publications on these topics, including the recent volumes Community Regeneration Masterplan. The Five Dimensions of Sustainability and Regenerating Urban Communities: A European Atlas and Guidelines for Italian Cities. He has contributed to the dissemination of this research through participation in numerous international conferences.

Formerly City Councilor for Urban Planning and Building Policies in the Municipality of Parma and a board member of several public companies, he collaborates with Formez PA (Professional Level I) and various academic institutions and research centers.
