Lombardi Alessandro

Born in Salerno, after obtaining a law degree with honours and a postgraduate specialisation in administrative law and public administration, he began his career at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies in 1996. As a civil servant, he was responsible for the budget and public procurement; from 2002, as a senior manager, he oversaw the management of financial resources allocated to the integration of migrants and the implementation of humanitarian projects in Albania.
He also managed the financial resources for the reception of unaccompanied foreign minors during the North African crisis (2011–2013). Since 2016, he has held the post of Director-General for the Third Sector: in this capacity, he contributed, amongst other things, to the drafting of the Third Sector Code and oversaw the development of the subsequent measures implementing the reform. Since 7 March 2024, he has been Head of the Department for Social, Third Sector and Migration Policies. He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Labour Inspectorate. He is a lecturer at the Pontifical Salesian University. He is the author of articles and co-author of publications on the Third Sector.
