Lazzari Francesca

Francesca Lazzari is a humanitarian worker with ten years’ experience in the Middle East. After working in Palestine, she moved to Lebanon, where she has been living and working for over six years.

She currently serves as AVSI’s Country Representative in Lebanon, a role she has held for three years, leading development programmes and humanitarian interventions in a context characterised by multiple and protracted crises. Throughout her career, she has developed expertise in managing complex emergencies, coordinating humanitarian responses for populations most affected by conflict, displacement, economic crises and social fragility.

In recent years, she has led AVSI’s mission to adapt and strengthen its interventions in the face of the progressively worsening situation in the country, including the most recent escalation of the conflict. Her work focuses on the link between emergency response, community resilience and long-term development.
