Latronico Cosimo

Cosimo Latronico earned a scientific high school diploma and a degree in Political Science from the University of Bari. He began his career in banking in 1978, working for a financial institution.

Since 2002, he has served as Director of several limited liability cooperatives operating in the global service, tourism, social and healthcare sectors across Italy. Upon taking public office, he resigned from these corporate positions.

He has authored numerous articles and contributions on economic, social, and institutional topics, published in both regional and national media. On issues related to the development of the region and, more broadly, Southern Italy, he has been a promoter and speaker at study meetings and conferences attended by academic and business leaders.

From 2008 to 2013, he was elected Senator of the Republic during the XVI Legislature. He served as a member of the Budget Commission, the Anti-Mafia Commission, the Regional Affairs Commission, and the Human Rights Commission. In 2014, he became Coordinator of Forza Italia in Basilicata.
