La Vecchia Carmine

Carmine La Vecchia – guitarist and lutenist
He initially devoted himself to the study of electronic music and is currently attending the composition class of Maestro Enrico Correggia at the Conservatory of Turin. He has shown particular interest in the contemporary guitar repertoire, performing in numerous chamber music ensembles (Piccolo Regio, Teatro Due in Parma, “G. Verdi” Conservatory Hall in Turin), and has collaborated with both RAI and the Teatro Regio of Turin. In 1978, he formed a duo with Dora Filippone, with whom he is committed to reviving rare pieces from the guitar and lute literature. He has taught guitar at the Accademia Musicale in Sondrio.
