Who we are
La Russa Geronimo

Antonino Geronimo La Russa, since July 2025, is the elected President of the Automobile Club of Italy (ACI).
Since 2018, he has led the Automobile Club of Milan, one of the most prestigious, largest, and active clubs in the country.
His experience in mobility, road safety, and motorsport has grown over time through consistent, passionate, and hands-on commitment. With the Automobile Club of Milan and later with the Regional Committee of Automobile Clubs of Lombardy, he has participated in key national and local strategic tables for the development of safer, more efficient, and sustainable mobility.
As president of the Automobile Club of Milan, founding member, and territorial reference of the Monza National Racetrack, he has played a central role in promoting and managing major Italian and international sporting events, personally contributing to the enhancement of one of the world’s motorsport landmarks.
La Russa combines technical expertise with a strong passion for sports, which he has cultivated through education: he specialized in Sports Law at the University of Milan and, in 2012, in Sport Management at SDA Bocconi. He has served on the Sports Court of Appeal and the Federal Court of Appeal of the FIM – Italian Motorboating Federation, a sports federation recognized by CONI.
Believing in the educational value of sports for young people, he has always directed his institutional and professional activity in this direction, with particular attention to training, legality, and road safety.
Since 2021, he has been a Board Member (representing the Municipality of Milan, appointed directly by the Mayor) of SPV Linea M4 S.p.A., the project company established to build and operate Milan’s Metro Line 4.
In 2022, he launched ACI Radio, the official radio of the organization, now a reference point for those working in mobility, safety, and automotive culture. He currently serves as Editorial Director.
His social commitment is constant. In 2021, he was awarded the honor of Knight of the Italian Republic by President Sergio Mattarella, on the proposal of the then Prime Minister Mario Draghi.
With his presidency at ACI, Geronimo La Russa is preparing to open a new phase for the organization, aiming to consolidate and strengthen its public role, enhance its expertise, and make it increasingly closer to citizens and local communities, at a time when mobility is at the center of major technological and cultural transformations.
