Who we are
Kaminka Elana

Elana Kaminka is an Israeli activist deeply committed to promoting peace and building bridges between Israeli and Palestinian communities. She is an active member of the secretariat of Tag Me’ir, an organization that offers support to victims of racist violence in Israel. In addition to her work with Tag Me’ir, she volunteers with Humans Without Borders, an organization that provides humanitarian assistance to sick Palestinian children, helping them reach Israeli hospitals for urgent medical care.
Originally from Davis, California, Elana moved to Israel with her husband Eyal, settling in Tzur Hadassa, a town near Jerusalem. On October 7, 2023, her eldest son, Yannai Kaminka, a platoon commander in the IDF, was killed during a terrorist attack by Hamas. Despite the pain and personal tragedy, Elana has continued to pursue her mission of peace with the same determination.
Elana Kaminka represents one of the strongest voices for nonviolent peace, seeking to mend wounds through understanding, compassion, and cooperation. Her personal experience and her work as an activist are a beacon of hope for those who believe that, despite the conflict, peace can be achieved through dialogue and active engagement. Her example is a testament that violence does not have to be the only answer, and that true strength lies in the ability to build bridges and promote human dignity.
