Iaccarino Fabrizio

Fabrizio Iaccarino is Head of Institutional Affairs for Italy at Enel, a role in which he coordinates institutional relations and promotes initiatives for a sustainable energy transition, representing the company at both national and international levels.

He holds a law degree from La Sapienza University in Rome, a Level II Master’s degree in public procurement law and techniques from LUMSA University, and a specialisation diploma in international nuclear law from the University of Montpellier II.

He has around ten years’ professional experience as a lawyer, both in private practice and in-house at Sogin, representing Italy at international forums at the OECD and the United Nations. He subsequently held senior positions in the energy sector at the Ministry of Economic Development and at Sace, before joining Enel.

Over the course of seventeen years with the company, he has taken on increasing responsibilities, eventually becoming Enel’s Head of Institutional Affairs for Italy, coordinating large and complex teams, currently numbering around 80 people.

He is a lecturer on courses and master’s programmes covering energy and environmental law, lobbying and stakeholder engagement. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Elettricità Futura and the Italian Association of Energy Economists, a member of the General Council of Confindustria, Confindustria Energia and Unindustria Roma, and also sits on the Executive Board of Enel Cuore, the company’s foundation dedicated to social and humanitarian projects.

He was recently awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
