He was previously Chief Economist of the Fiat Group and of Telecom Italia and worked at the Banca d’Italia Studies Service. He studied at the University of Turin and at the London School of Economics; He has been visiting fellow of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He is the author of many scientific publications in the field of macroeconomics, the economy of work and the economy of education, as well as numerous articles and comments on major national newspapers.
