Galli Massimo

Massimo Galli is Full Professor of the Department of Infectious Diseases, “Luigi Sacco” at the University of Milan.
After graduating from Medicine and Surgery at the University of Milan with the highest marks with praise he specializes in Allergology and Clinical Immunology, Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
He is currently Vice President of SIMIT (Italian Society for Infectious and Tropical Diseases) and Vice President of the National association for the fight against AIDS (ANLAIDS) section of Lombardy and since November 2013 is Director of School of Specialization in Infectious Diseases.
The fields of action and research of the professor relate to:
Infection of the human immunodeficiency virus, with particular reference to clinical, immunological, therapeutic and side effects of antiretroviral therapy;
Cryoglobulinemia HCV;
Human T-lymphotropic virus (HTLV);
Eighth human herpes virus (HHV8) with particular reference to the study of transmission patterns and pathogenesis of related neoplasms;
HIV / HBV, HIV / HCV co-infections.

He is author of over 327 publications on peer reviewed international journals and also of numerous chapters of scientific treatises.
