Piero Fusco

Piero Fusco is Head of the Religious Organisations and Third Sector Business Unit at Generali Italia and Vice-President of the Fondazione Cattolica in Verona.

The Business Unit serves as a key insurance partner for the Church and the non-profit sector, offering bespoke solutions to over 19,000 Italian parishes and maintaining strong institutional relationships with numerous Church organisations and Catholic associations. Through Generali’s agency network, it also provides cover for more than 40,000 third sector organisations with products and services specifically designed to meet their needs.

Alongside its insurance offering, it promotes consultancy, training and support activities, drawing on the expertise of a Scientific Committee with which it runs the Observatory on Religious Organisations and the Third Sector, with the aim of strengthening the sustainability and effectiveness of organisations at a local level, fostering a culture of prevention and sound risk management.

For over twenty-five years, it has been working alongside the world of associations and organised voluntary work, supporting initiatives aimed at promoting participation, solidarity and the development of local communities.
