Frontoni Emanuele

Professor of Computer Science at the University of Macerata and co-director of the VRAI (Vision Robotics & Artificial Intelligence Lab). He conducts research in the fields of artificial intelligence and computer vision, human behaviour analysis, augmented reality, sensitive spaces and digital humanities. He is also involved in science dissemination on AI, collaborating with a column in Tg3 delle Marche, and in the technological spin-offs of research, serving as Scientific Director of Nemolab on the use of technologies for people with disabilities. Author of over 230 international articles, he collaborates with numerous national and international companies in technology transfer and innovation activities. He is also co-founder of 4 university spin-offs: joint-stock companies through which he can commercially exploit the results of his research activities. He has been Programme Chair and/or General Chair of various conferences, international summer schools and co-organiser of numerous international workshops. One of the experts for the European Commission in the evaluations of H2020, Horizon Europe, IPCEI CIS and MSCA projects, he is also a member of the European Association for Artificial Intelligence, the European AI Alliance and the International Association for Pattern Recognition. He is in the top 2% of most influential scientists according to Standford University.
