Frangi Giuseppe

Giuseppe Frangi, born in Milan in 1955, is a journalist and art critic. Since 1998, he has served as President of the Associazione Giovanni Testori, which he founded to promote and enhance the work of the Lombard writer and intellectual Giovanni Testori. Since 2006, the Association has been recognized as a historical fund by the Superintendence of Architectural and Environmental Heritage of Lombardy. Under his leadership, numerous exhibitions focusing on rediscovering 16th- and 17th-century artists have been organized, accompanied by scholarly catalogs, along with a program of exhibitions across Lombardy and Piedmont. He is also Vice President of Casa Testori, a cultural hub dedicated to promoting contemporary art.
A professional journalist, he directed the weekly magazine Il Sabato from 1988 to 1990. From 2001 to 2016, he served as Director of the monthly Vita non profit, where he is now Editorial Coordinator. Over his career, he has collaborated with numerous publications, including La Stampa, 30 Giorni, L’Informazione, and Class. Currently, he writes for la Repubblica, L’Eco di Bergamo, La Provincia di Como, IlSussidiario.net, Il Manifesto, and Domani.
He engages in art criticism, writing exhibition reviews for Alias, the Sunday supplement of Il Manifesto, and curates the monthly covers of Arbiter, each entrusted to a contemporary artist. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Opera del Duomo di Siena and a member of the Steering Committee of the Abbonamento Musei.
