Fiorillo Lorenzo

Lorenzo Fiorillo, born in Vibo Valentia in 1974, has been Director of Technology, R&D & Digital at Eni since May 2024.

After graduating in Chemical Engineering in Pisa in 1998, in January 1999 he joined Eni as a Production Optimization Technician at the San Donato Milanese headquarters.

Following an initial experience at headquarters in reservoir studies and Italian operational districts, in 2004 he took the role of Technical Manager at Enimed in Gela, gradually assuming increasing responsibilities in Sicily and Tunisia, until being appointed President and CEO of Enimed in January 2010.

From 2012 to 2018, he worked in Congo as Directeur General of Eni Congo, responsible for managing Eni’s business in the country and developing long-term activities, particularly through strategies to maximize gas reserves.

After his experience in Congo, he held a similar role in Nigeria at Nigerian Agip Oil Company until July 2020, also serving as President of the OPTS (Oil Producers Trade Section).

He then became Head of Upstream West Africa, and in April 2021 assumed responsibility for the entire Sub-Saharan Africa region.

From June 2022, he was appointed Head of Operations & Energy Efficiency at the Natural Resources General Directorate, overseeing production, maintenance, drilling, logistics, and decommissioning activities.

Since 2023, he has been a member of the Technical Group of Confindustria.
