Fields Jonathan

A blues/jazz guitarist, Jonathan Fields was introduced to classical music while attending university. The passion and beauty of this music inspired him to move to NYC to begin studies in composition.
While learning the craft of composition he also played professionally in R&B, jazz and punk bands in music venues around the city. He also worked as a music copyist for Phillip Glass.
Upon graduating he was hired to play in the orchestra for The Big Apple Circus at Lincoln Center until moving on to David Horowitz Music Associates, a leading commercial music production company. He spent the next 25 years composing, arranging and producing music for over a 1,000 spots. Clients include Verizon, VISA, Mercedes, GE, NBC, Pepsi and American Airlines.
He has composed a variety of musical works spanning multiple genres, including film scores, music for documentaries, and sacred music. He was a member of The Bay Ridge Band contributing work to three CD’s. He currently works freelance through his music production scompany L-Sid Productions composing music for film and television.
In recent years he has been a frequent lecturer and music educator at high schools and universities, and has contributed several listening guides to the Spirto Gentil CD series. He serves as Music Director at the Basilica of Regina Pacis in Brooklyn.
Mr. Fields resides in Brooklyn with his wife and three children.
