Erba Marco

Marco Erba was born in 1981 in the province of Milan and has been teaching Italian at secondary schools for twenty years. An author of novels and essays, in his books he explores adolescence with all its highs and lows, as a time of crisis and, at the same time, of opportunity, change and transformation. Thanks to his novels, he meets thousands of secondary school pupils across Italy every year. Among his best-known works are the novels Fra me e te, Città d’argento and Il male che hai dentro, all published by Rizzoli, and the essay Scintille di bellezza – educare alla speranza tra i banchi di scuola, published by Vita e Pensiero in collaboration with Avvenire. He writes regular columns and articles for Avvenire on the world of young people in relation to adults. He is married and has three children, one of whom is in foster care.
