Durigon Claudio

Claudio Durigon is the Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies in the government led by Giorgia Meloni.
He was born in Latina in 1971 to a Venetian family. From 1996 to 2009, he worked as a labourer in the pharmaceutical sector. Also in 1996, he began his trade union career in the General Labour Union, where he became deputy secretary general of the Confederation in 2014 until 2018.
In 2018, he began his political career with Lega per Salvini Premier, being elected to the Chamber of Deputies and then appointed Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies. In 2021, he was appointed Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In 2022, he was elected to the Senate and then reappointed Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies with responsibility for labour relations and industrial relations, social security and insurance policies, supervision of the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work and social security institutions, as well as patronage and social assistance institutions.
In September 2024, he was appointed Deputy Federal Secretary of the Lega per Salvini Premier party.
