Donati Debora

Debora Donati founded the association Insieme a Te (“Together with You”) in 2017, following her experience caring for her husband, Dario Alvisi, who was affected by ALS. The organization was created with the goal of establishing, in 2018, the first free and fully accessible beach resort—Spiaggia Insieme a Te—in Punta Marina Terme, in the province of Ravenna. This beach is open to everyone, including individuals with physical, sensory, and intellectual disabilities.

A dream turned into reality thanks to the collaboration of socially conscious companies, public institutions such as the Municipality of Faenza (where the association was founded), the Municipality of Ravenna, the Emilia-Romagna Region, and numerous associations and volunteers.

In 2022, Insieme a Te also created three fully accessible apartments, made possible by winning a public grant from the Municipality of Ravenna. Today, the association manages a total of seven apartments that host the families and caregivers of the beach’s guests.

Debora Donati has received numerous awards for her work. In 2024, she was honored by the Rotary Club with the Award for Excellence in Service to Humanity for the year 2023/2024.

In June 2025, she was a speaker at the World Conference on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, alongside the Italian Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli.
