Davide Dionisi

Davide Dionisi is a journalist, married with two children, born in Rome in 1967. He began his career in 1992 as an editor at the SIR news agency and later worked for over twenty years at Vatican Radio as a foreign correspondent, covering international events and papal trips.

From 2017 to 2019, he created and hosted the radio segment Il Vangelo dentro, broadcast on Vatican Radio, featuring Gospel readings and reflections prepared by inmates from the Rebibbia and Paliano prisons. Since 2018, he has been Head of the International Service of L’Osservatore Romano.

From 1 January 2023, he has served as spokesperson and Head of the Press Office for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani at Palazzo Chigi. Since June 2023, he has been the Italian Government’s Special Envoy for the promotion of religious freedom worldwide.
