Deliloğlu Alpaslan

Born in Marash, Turkey, he fled a civil war at the age of five and grew up in Izmir. This experience sparked a deep interest in politics and its social impact, motivating him to study international relations and economics.
To fund his studies, he began working for a major retail chain, rising to become Head of Department within two years.
This success led him to enrol on an MBA programme for future General Managers. During the MBA, a meeting with an influential CEO and a contact at IKEA set him on an international career path, starting at the first IKEA store in Turkey.
In 2014, he became Deputy CEO of IKEA Switzerland and, in 2019, CEO of IKEA Austria. Since 2025, he has been CEO of IKEA Italy.
