Del Sette Tullio

General Tullio Del Sette was appointed Extraordinary Commissioner of the Automobile Club d’Italia by Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers on 21 February 2025, with powers of ordinary and extraordinary administration. The appointment was subsequently extended by Article 14 of Decree-Law No. 96 of 30 June 2025, until the new President and the new governing bodies of the institution take office.
Born in 1951, General Del Sette holds degrees in Law, Political Science, and Internal and External Security Sciences.
Over the course of his military career, which began in 1970, he held numerous staff positions, including Head of the 1st Department – Force Organisation at the General Command of the Carabinieri, Head of the Legislative Office and Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Defence, as well as command roles. As an Army Corps General, he served as Commander of the Mobile and Special Units and of the Carabinieri Interregional Command for Central Italy. He was Deputy Commander General and then, from 16 January 2015 to 15 January 2018, Commander General of the Carabinieri.
In recognition of his commitment and achievements throughout his long career, General Del Sette has received: the Mauritian Medal for Merit of fifty years of military service, the Gold Cross with star for length of military service, the Gold Medal for Merit for long-term unit command, Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, the United States Legion of Merit (Commander degree), NATO Medals for operations in the former Yugoslavia and Kosovo, the Gold Medal of Merit of the Italian Red Cross, and the Gold Cross of Merit of the Carabinieri.
