De Marco Raffaele

Since April 2025, Raffaele De Marco has been Chief Executive Officer of Areti, where he previously served as General Manager. Prior to that, he held the position of Head of Infrastructure Operations and Operational Services, overseeing the operation and efficiency of the company’s electricity network.

Before joining the Acea Group, he gained significant experience at Italgas, where he held positions in operational management, technical design and the management of strategic regional hubs. From 2019 to 2020, he was Head of the Naples Hub, with direct responsibility for 20 municipalities in the metropolitan area, over 500,000 customers served and a team of 200 staff. In particular, he oversaw the planning and implementation of gas distribution projects, ensuring high standards of efficiency, safety and sustainability.

Between 2017 and 2018, he served as Head of the Piedmont Division, managing 215 municipalities across Piedmont and the Aosta Valley, 320,000 customers and approximately 110 staff members. From 2016 to 2017, he coordinated the technical design of tender proposals for strategic areas (including TO2 and Belluno), preparing detailed design documents and environmental, seismic and fluid dynamics analyses for the gas networks and facilities.

Between 2015 and 2016, he led the Umbria Operations Centre, with responsibility for 46 municipalities and 115,000 customers, whilst from 2013 to 2015 he managed the Molise Operations Centre, serving 21 municipalities. In both roles, he ensured service continuity, rapid response and adherence to allocated budgets.
From 2012 to 2013, he worked as Head of Monitoring and Operational Support at Italgas’s Naples office, overseeing technical and financial reporting for the Southern district. Prior to this, he gained technical and operational experience as a Plant Coordinator in Barletta (2010–2012) and as an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician in Turin (2008–2010), where he contributed to an innovation project for the remote reading of gas meters.
He holds a degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin and is a Green Belt – Lean Six Sigma certified professional, having obtained this certification in 2018 at the MIP Polytechnic University of Milan.
