Crolla Simone

Simone Crolla is a Managing Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (“AmCham“) since 2009. Founded in 1915, AmCham is a non-profit organization whose goal is to facilitate the development of economic and political relations between the United States and Italy.
Since 2015, he has been Senior Advisor at Lincoln International, a global business center focused on the mid-market sector (M & A, debt advisory, capital and reorganization) and is a member of the Advisory Board of Banca Prossima, Intesa Sanpaolo Group Bank dedicated to the non-profit world and the third sector.
Since 2014, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Foundation of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and architectural and artistic restoration of the Duomo.
He was Senior Vice President of Weber Shandwick – one of the largest public relations consulting companies in the world – for Public Affairs practice from January 2007 to December 2015.
He was among the founders of the US Pavilion at Expo 2015 for which he held the role of Director of Italian Relationships.
He was Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic from February 2012 to March 2013, a member of the Foreign Affairs Commission, where he served as Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Italians Abroad. As a deputy, he presented a bill on the “Honor Loan”, with the aim of encouraging high education opportunities for young Italian talents.
From October 2003 to May 2006 he served as Deputy Chief for the Prime Minister Cabinet at Palazzo Chigi (Rome). He assisted the Prime Minister in all current Government Affairs, involving other institutions, Italian and foreign investors and members of the business community. He accompanied the Prime Minister to several institutional missions abroad, such as the historic visit to the US Congress, and at European Summits.
He has worked as a consultant for the Gruppo 24 Ore as regards the launch of a new editorial product on the American market.
In addition, the US Department of State chose him as the only Italian participant in the “International Visitor Leadership Program” in 2004.
In 1997 he held a 4-month internship at the United Nations Secretary-General’s Spokeperson Office in New York.
He graduated in Political Science at the State University of Milan. In 2000 he attended a postgraduate degree in International Law at the University of Helsinki.
Simone Crolla was born August 21, 1972, married to Gabriella and has two children.
