Corbetta Guido

Guido Corbetta is Full Professor of Strategic Management and AIdAF- EY Professor of Strategic Management in Family Business, in memory of Alberto Falck at the Bocconi University; he is also founding Dean of the Bocconi Graduate School and Pro-Chancellor of Bocconi University (2005-2010).
Fellow at ICRIOS (Center of Research on Innovation, Organization and Strategy), he is also Senior faculty member at SDA Bocconi School of Management.
He is scientific coordinator at the AUB Observatory (sponsored by AIdAF-Unicredit-Camera Commercio di Milano-Borsa Italiana-Università Bocconi) on family businesses and medium size companies with a turnover higher than 20 million/Euro (almost 8.000 companies).
He is currently: President of the Board of Directors of Vitale Barberis Canonico; a “not executive” Vice President of Falck and Falck Renewables; Vice President of the Executive Committee of Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR; independent Manager of Tesmec (listed company); independent Manager of De Agostini.
He is also a “not executive” board member in a number of leading companies in different sectors: Feralpi Holding (special steels); Fimag – Gruppo Guzzini (lighting); Fontana Finanziaria (bolts); Compagnia de’ Frescobaldi (wine); Manutencoop Facility Management (facility management); Villa d’Este (hotellerie).
In 2012 he published the book “Strategies for longevity in family firms. A European perspective”, Palgrave (in collaboration with Carlo Salvato) and several articles as “Is family leadership always beneficial?”, published in 2012 for Strategic Management Journal (with Danny Miller and Alessandro Minichilli) and “CEO Succession Mechanisms, Organizational Context, and Performance: A Socio-Emotional Wealth Perspective on Family Controlled Firms” published in 2014 for Journal of Management Studies (with Alessandro Minichilli, Mario Amore and Mattias Nordqvist).
He collaborates with Corriere della Sera.
Born on 4th May 1959, he is married to Rossella Zona and has four children.
He is married with four children.
