Cirielli Edmondo

Edmondo Cirielli is an Italian politician and general, from 2 November 2022 Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Meloni government. Previously, he was President of the province of Salerno from 8 June 2009 to 22 October 2012; a Member of the Chamber of Deputies since 2001, where he held the posts of President of the 4th Defence Commission from 2008 to 2013; Secretary from 2013 to 2018; and Quaestor in the Chamber until 2022. Born in Nocera Inferiore on 22 May 1964, he graduated in Law from the University of Parma (cum laude), in Political Science from the University of Salerno (108/110) and in Internal and External Security Sciences from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (cum laude). He is a Brigadier General in the Carabinieri Auxiliary Force. He attended the Nunziatella Military School in Naples, the Military Academy of Modena, the Military School of Mountaineering in Aosta, the Military School of Parachuting in Pisa and the Carabinieri Officers School in Rome.
