Who we are
Cesare Giorgio Marco

Marco Cesare Giorgio is an Italian lawyer and cultural leader, currently serving as the president of the Pier Giorgio Frassati Cultural Center in Turin. The Center, founded in 1980 and active since 1981, was established in response to Pope John Paul II’s visit to Turin, with the aim of promoting Christian humanism through the figure of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, a young layman renowned for his spiritual and social commitment.
Under Giorgio’s leadership, the Center has strengthened its presence in the cultural landscape of the Piedmont region, organizing conferences, exhibitions, and publications that explore the relationship between faith, culture, and society. In 2025, on the centenary of Frassati’s death, Giorgio played a key role in coordinating commemorative events, including the conference “From Turin and Piedmont, a gift to the world: the holiness of Pier Giorgio Frassati”, held in the Hall of Columns at the Municipality of Turin. During the event, he emphasized Frassati’s relevance today, describing him as a “modern saint” whose life continues to inspire new generations.
Giorgio also curated the introduction to a publication celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Center, presented in 2022 at the Polo del ‘900 in Turin. On that occasion, he highlighted the importance of rediscovering Frassati as a model of civic and spiritual engagement, capable of offering guidance in today’s complex world.
