Caldwell Christopher

Christopher Caldwell (1962) is an American journalist, essayist and political commentator. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, he graduated from Harvard University. Throughout his career, he has contributed to some of the world’s leading publications, including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, The Washington Post and Slate. He was senior editor of the weekly magazine The Weekly Standard and is currently a Senior Fellow at the Claremont Institute and a contributing editor of the Claremont Review of Books. His research focuses on the relationship between national identity, immigration, religion, political culture and the transformation of Western democracies. He is the author of “Reflections on the Revolution in Europe: Immigration, Islam, and the West” (2009), which was widely discussed internationally, and of “The Age of Entitlement: America Since the Sixties” (2020), which examines the political and cultural evolution of the contemporary United States.
