Calderone Marina Elvira

Born in 1965 in Sardinia (Bonorva, Sassari), Marina Elvira Calderone, holder of a degree in Business Economics and Labour Consultant since 1994, is minister of Labour and Social Policies of the government of the Honourable Giorgia Meloni.

Before becoming minister, she occupied various institutional positions: President of the National Council of the Order of Labour Consultants (2005-2022), President of the Permanent Unitary Committee of Professional Orders and Colleges (2009-2022) and member of the European Economic and Social Committee (2015-2022).

She was also a member of the board of directors of Finmeccanica S.p.A. (now Leonardo S.p.A.) from 2014 to 2020 and Vice President of the ProfessionItaliane Association from 2021 until her appointment as minister.
