Nicola Bertinelli

Nicola Bertinelli, born on 10 October 1972 in Medesano (PR), is CEO of Azienda Agricola Bertinelli, which has been operating since 1895 in Medesano, in the hills around Parma, producing Parmigiano Reggiano PDO.

He has a unique educational background: after obtaining degrees in Agricultural Sciences and Economics and Business from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Nicola Bertinelli moved to Canada to undertake a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the prestigious Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Guelph. He remained in North America for over three years, working as a teaching assistant.

On his return to Italy, Nicola Bertinelli took over the reins of the family business, working alongside his father Gianni. On 8 April 2017, he was elected president of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium for the first time; his second term began on 17 April 2021; his third will begin on 15 April 2025.
