Beghi Marco

Marco G. Beghi was born on 5/12/1955. He graduated with honors in Nuclear Engineering, specializing in materials, from the Politecnico di Milano in July 1979. Subsequently, he was ‘Fulbright scholar’ of the I.I.E. in New York and ‘graduate student’ and ‘research assistant’ at the Department of Nuclear Engineering, University of California, Los Angeles from 1981 to 1982.
From 1984 to 2003, he was a tenured researcher at the Department of Nuclear Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, where he taught several courses in Physics at the Faculty of Engineering. His research activities focused on plastic deformation of metals and thermophysical properties of solids, acoustic properties of thin films, and scattering of laser light from surfaces and surface structures. Since 2003, he has been Associate Professor of Physics of Matter at the Politecnico di Milano and holds courses in Physics of Materials at the Faculty of Industrial Process Engineering.
