Amoroso Maurizio

Maurizio Amoroso is the Deputy Director of Tgcom24. He studied Law at the University La Sapienza in Rome and in 1981 won a scholarship to begin his career in journalism.

He started his career at the weekly magazine Famiglia Cristiana. In 1983, he joined the editorial staff of the Roman daily Il Tempo under the guidance of Gianni Letta. In 1987, he became a parliamentary journalist, and four years later he was appointed Head of the Political Desk.

In 1998, he accepted a position offered by Director Enrico Mentana at Tg5, working in the Domestic Affairs newsroom. In November 2003, he became Editor-in-Chief, and in October 2007, Central Editor-in-Chief of Tg5. Since September 2014, he has served as Deputy Director of NewsMediaset and later Tgcom24.

An expert in educational reporting, he has collaborated for nearly thirty years with the magazine Tuttoscuola and is the author of numerous publications and guides for teachers, parents, and students.
