Ologramma, a journey of notes and encounters
In a time when distance often prevails over embrace, Ologramma chooses to walk together, step by step, song by song. From the Beatles to Bob Dylan, from Vecchioni to Mr. Rain, the repertoire weaves together great classics and the voices of those who too often remain on the margins, turning each piece into an opportunity for mutual recognition and connection.
The concert is a declaration of trust: in peace, in the possibility of building genuine bonds, in the strength of embraced fragility. Voices different in tone, story, and life come together in a single harmony that does not seek to impress, but to meet.
From 2010 to today, the story of Ologramma
Founded in 2010 on an intuition by Roberta Frison, Ologramma today is made up of 45 members, including musicians, music therapists, and vulnerable young people with diverse abilities, all united by their love for music. Over the years, the group has taken part in significant events: from the Philosophy Festival to the Mental Health Week (Màt), from concerts for Holocaust Remembrance Day to appearances at Pavarotti & Friends, as well as a performance before Pope Francis in 2021 and the opening of Vasco Live in Imola in 2022.
During the lockdown, the group did not stop: through songwriting techniques they created an original piece entitled “Ologramma,” which tells of the disorientation felt by fragile young people and the resilience fostered by making music together, even at a distance.
Music that includes, to recognize the other as a resource
At the heart of the project lies Music-Centered Music Therapy, which considers music not only as a means, but as the very goal of the therapeutic relationship. Making music together means learning to live in harmony, to respect one another, and to recognize the other as a resource. It is no coincidence that each concert is enriched with readings and testimonies that accompany the songs, turning the performance into a collective story.
Over the years, this experience has become a book (“Ologramma. The Words of Music,” Erickson 2021), a docufilm, and even a literary award (Buk Festival 2022), testifying to its artistic and inclusive strength.
