Augusto Bianchini

An associate professor at the University of Bologna since 2020, Augusto Bianchini conducts his research in the field of Industrial Mechanical Engineering. His main areas of interest include plant automation, with a particular focus on Industry 4.0 enabling technologies, waste management within the context of the circular economy, the optimisation of sustainable processes, and multiphase flow engineering.

He is involved in national and international research projects and collaborates with various local companies and European research groups. Within the University of Bologna, he is a member of the University Thematic Group (GTA) on Cluster 4 – Digital, Industry and Space, and participates in the Advisory and Programming Group (APG) of Processes4Planet and the European Processes4Planet platform dedicated to sustainable processes. He is also a founding member of the Italian Stakeholder Platform on the Circular Economy (ICESP).

He is the author of numerous scientific publications at both national and international level.
