Who we are
Anna Fiscale

Born in 1988 in Verona, after completing a degree in Economics at Bocconi University in Milan and a Master’s in International Affairs at Sciences Po in Paris, she began working on development projects in India and Haiti. She has always firmly believed in creating new opportunities, particularly in her own country.
On her return to Italy, in 2013 she founded Quid: this social enterprise provides employment for the most vulnerable members of society by recovering high-quality surplus textiles from Italian partner companies; today, it employs over 150 people from 18 countries, 82 per cent of whom are women from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. The recovered fabrics are then transformed by the staff into limited-edition clothing and accessory collections under the ethical fashion brand Progetto Quid, ensuring sustainable fashion that is more accessible yet no less exclusive in design; these are distributed via an online shop. In 2020, Progetto Quid won the ‘CNMI Responsible Disruption Award’ at the Green Carpet Fashion Awards (2020).
Since 2024, the social enterprise has focused on the B2B business model, launching numerous partnerships with large companies to produce co-branded ethical ranges of fashion and home accessories, thereby raising awareness of issues relating to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
This business idea has earned Anna and Quid Impresa Sociale prestigious awards, including at an international level: amongst these are the European Social Innovation Competition (2014), the European Civil Society Prize (2017), the Lighthouse Activity in the ‘Women for Results’ category of Momentum for Change, awarded by the United Nations – UNFCCC (2017); and the award of the ‘Welcome. Working for refugee integration’ logo by the UNHCR – United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (2023). Furthermore, precisely for her “passionate contribution and the spirit of initiative with which she has worked to transform vulnerabilities and differences into social and economic added value”, on 29 December 2020 Anna Fiscale was appointed Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
