Joakim Garff
Joakim Garff (1960) is a Danish theologian and director of the Søren Kierkegaard Research Centre in Copenhagen. From 1994 to 2012 he was a co-editor of Søren Kierkegaards Skrifter [Søren Kierkegaard’s Writings] in 55 vols.
From 1992 to 1999 Garff was chair of the Danish Kierkegaard Society. Garff is the author of SAK, an award-winning biography of Kierkegaard, which has been translated into several languages, e.g., Italien as SAK. Soren Aabye Kierkegaard. Una Biografia (Bompiani, 2011) and Kierkegaard’s Muse. The Mystery of Regine Olsen (Princeton University Press, 2017). His most recent book is the novel Solisterne. Et rejseeventyr om H.C. Andersen og Søren Kierkegaard (Gyldendal, 2023) [The Soloists. A travelling adventure about H.C. Andersen and Søren Kierkegaard] forthcoming in Hungarian 2027.
